The weekend of 28th - 30th September both churches of the Benefice celebrated Harvest Festival.  This was the first time it has been done together in the Benefice.  In Haverhill Church HartFest was held - exhibition of Harvest themed  artwork from local schools, with flower displays and harvest gifts.
The church was open on Friday 28th through to the end of Sunday 30th for visitors to admire the wonderful displays.
Sunday morning at 11.30am the Benefice Harvest Eucharist took place at Haverhill, the choir sung a special anthem, the Curate preached the Harvest sermon, and some church people acted a Harvest sketch, specially written by Mr David Hart.  This was followed by Harvest lunch in the church.  Over 70 people attended the service and nearly 50 stayed to lunch.
In the evening a Harvest Songs of Praise took place at Withersfield church, attended by the Director of Music, the choir and  about 40 people in all.
Here below are some photo's of the displays.
